Baycon Special Projects Unit is a Crime-scene clean-up Company referred to by many as CTS Decon (crime and trauma scene decontamination specialists) and our work involves cleaning up dangerous material. Sometimes we cleanup the biologically contaminated scene of a violent death or illness (homicide, suicide, viral or accidental), or the chemically contaminated scene of a methamphetamine lab or anthrax-exposure site. Baycon Special Projects Unit comes in and restores the scene to its pre-incident state. When a violent death occurs it’s our job is to remove any sign of what happened and any biohazards that result from such an incident. Federal regulations deem all bodily fluids to be biohazards, so any blood or tissue at a crime scene is considered a potential source of infection. Baycon special projects unit has the certifications and knowledge to safely handle bio-hazardous material and know what to look for at the scene. We also have vehicles and packaging to transport and dispose of bio-hazardous waste safely and legally. Our construction background is beneficial as some clean-ups (especially meth labs) require walls and other structures to be removed. We can contact the insurance company file a claim and even rebuild, re-carpet or repaint if needed so you won’t have to deal with several contractors at your time of need. Most cases are covered by insurance or the VOCA fund or one of the Baycon Funds and does not cost the client any out of pocket expenses. |
